Product Introduction
The bitumen tanker trailer keeps asphalt at 150 – 180 C during transport: an insulated carbon steel tank wrapped in 80 – 100 mm rock wool, with thermal oil heating coils and a burner to re-heat the cargo on long hauls.
Discharge is by gravity through heated bottom valves or by pump. The piping is traced with the same thermal oil circuit so nothing solidifies in the lines.
